This hardneck garlic produces spicy flavours with lots of lovely oils and easy to peel plump cloves. This is our most reliable garlic variety, consistently producing nice big bulbs. We first purchased this variety five years ago and was told by the seller that this is Rick Stein’s favourite garlic (not sure if this is true!) Note that Spanish Garlic is not the more fiery Ajo Rojo garlic.

This is a lovely hardneck garlic, with beautiful well-formed bulbs and large cloves. We haven’t identified this variety yet, but suspect it is Polish White. Hardneck garlic is generally easier to peel and more firey or “garlicky” than the soft neck varieties usually sold in the supermarkets, and this one is no exception.
